Direct Officer 正官

Shape, deadlines, and someone entitled to ask things of you.

Direct Officer is the element that controls your Day Master, in the opposite polarity — an orderly constraint rather than a hostile one. It names structure: deadlines, standards, and people whose claim on your time is legitimate.

How it tends to show up

It reads as a working relationship with rules. People with clear Direct Officer often respect a process they consider fair, arrive with the work done, and are uncomfortable operating without a defined standard to meet. Order here is not obedience — it is a preference for knowing what the terms are.

The cost is a sensitivity to constraint that does not make sense. When the structure is arbitrary, the same wiring that produced reliability produces friction instead, and the effort goes into meeting a standard nobody benefits from.

A limit worth stating plainly

The presence of an Officer god does not mean status, promotion, or recognition. Older readings sometimes slide from "structure is present" to "position will be granted" — that step does not follow. Direct Officer describes how you meet structure; it does not assign you a place inside it. Whether it reads as support or as pressure depends on strength and balance across the whole chart.
